Today's song:

Hammer and Strings [A Lullaby] - Jack's Mannequin (Spotify)

Jack's Mannequin had a new album released last month (according to iTunes. But it just surfaced like today! Weird...). Not just another alternative band! They can be pop, lullaby-y, rock, and indie! Def. go listen to People and Things - a more mature record.

I feel like I haven't blogged about fashion in forever. So here's the thing. Fashion weeks are honestly super overwhelming. So many brands, designs, and models in so little time. I've gone over most of the designers that I like. But I haven't had time to put any of my favorites up, or, even had the time to pick out my favs.
In New York, not many were as impressive as the Fall/Winter 2011 collections. The ones worthy to notice were OdlR, Marc Jacobs, Marchesa, Prabal Gurung, Proenza Schouler, Diane von Furstenberg, Jason Wu, and Victoria Beckham, with OdlR's fitted suits and evening dress, Marc Jacobs' casual wear, and Marchesa's gowns being my fav. Jason Wu and Diane von Furstenberg were also youthful; and VB had a nice twist on sportswear.
In London, I didn't even pay much attention since it's the shortest of the four. Burberry was awesome as usual. (I still liked their fall collection much better tho...) Erdem and Christopher Kane were the next two that could make it into two three. The others were either not impressive or...

Anyway. Like I said, I've seen many Milan and Paris shows except there are too much awesomeness to talk about tonight in this post. These two are like true definition of high fashion. When I become more free next week or so, I'll do a more detailed post about those two fashion weeks. *hint hint* Dolce&Gabbana ;)
