PFW Alexander McQueen

Sarah Burton is a real great successor to Lee. She had been McQueen's personal assistant for a decade when he passed. It's quite amazing how she is in a way continuing McQueen's own exploration and ideas. Take note that she also designed Kate Middleton's wedding dress! Here's a small portfolio of her work since becoming the creative director (SS11 - FW12):

Since y'all are warmed up now...this collection is totally bee-inspired. I feel like the collection doesn't have a lot of variations, but I like what is offered. So what the hell let's just get started!

There are also a bunch of gorgeous details from this collection...the choker is definitely a highlight.

I have been thinking about doing a McQueen tribute post...that day will come soon!
