Ok. Quick post about Met Gala. I'm totally not caught up with the completely different pace of summer (comparing to school). I'm still super busy helping out my dad with fixing up the new house in ATL, which means having to drive over every weekend and going to Home Depot every weeknight...And I also read The Hunger Games (so good!!) in the past 2 days. But I'll talk about about that later. Also, I'm learning some sewing at my mom's place so maybe I can help her out later.

One thing I love about Met Gala is that it's not about being classy like most award shows (Oscars, Golden Globes, etc). It's all about fashion imo. Thus more celebrities are willing to have more "risky" picks on what they wear. But it's pretty awesome because you don't get tired of seeing all nude gowns any more. Occasionally, there are also some eccentric picks which I love. Here, I picked some of my favorite looks from this year and put them into groups.

Let's start with black gowns. These are actually some of my favorite looks from the night. Bare back + tail, shiny + a big smile, and Rooney's delicate choices. Amazing! Tisci's couture collection is beyond gorgeous.

Renee Zellweger in Emilio Pucci // Gisele Bunchen in Givenchy Couture // Rooney Mara in Givenchy Couture

The aqua-toned white is one of my favorite colors of the moment. The details on these dresses are equally gorgeous.

Caroline Trentini in Theyskens Theory // Sofia Vergara in Marchasa // Jessica Stam in Dior Couture

Shiny choices. Scarlett's custom version of Dolce&Gabbana dress looks too amazing on her. And Carey's short sequined dress has got to be one of my favorite looks from her. CHECK OUT HER HAIR OMG. Fabulous.

Scarlett Johansson in custom Dolce&Gabanna // Carey Mulligan in Prada // Karolina Kurkova in Rachel Zoe

There are many ways you can wear a white gown. Risque, classy with an edge, and fairytale. I love it!

Anja Rubik in Anthony Varccarello // Hanneli Mustaparta in Calvin Klein // Lily Collins in Valentino

Pop of color. BAMM banana lady in yo face!!!

January Jones in Atelier Versace // Emily Blunt in Calvin Klein // Liu Wen in Michael Kors

More fun! These two ladies know how to play. I'm especially in love with the way Christina's dress played out. Big ruffles, cutouts, and a long tail? Dreamy. Elizabeth's looks also works great with her recent role - Effie Trinket in The Hunger Games.

Christina Ricci in Thakoon // Elizabeth Banks in Mary Katrantzou

Puffy ladies...Emma looks adorable as ever!!! I swear. She's the cutest. Florence Welch continues her nude gown streak...bigger and bigger! :P

Emma Stone in Lanvin // Florence Welch in Alexander McQueen

Couples can be in contrasting colors or totally matching. Jessica and Justin played it safe but they are uber cute. And the two on the right...this is what Met Gala is about!!! Creative people ftw.
